Product image sizes in 2026 — Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop, Instagram, Facebook and LINE
Export one master file as a 1:1 square at 1200 × 1200 px and crop everything else from it. The real minimums are Shopee 500 × 500, Lazada 330 × 330 and TikTok Shop 600 × 600 px. Social placements differ: Instagram feed is 1080 × 1350 (4:5), Reels and Stories are 1080 × 1920 (9:16), and LINE OA Rich Messages are 1040 × 1040 px.
One product photo can serve almost every placement — if you know how each one crops. This page collects the image sizes each platform recommends in 2026 into a single table, separates marketplaces (which mostly force square) from social (which rewards vertical), and ends with the one master file you export once and reuse everywhere.
The marketplace specs here apply across Shopee and Lazada's Southeast Asian storefronts, so they hold whether you sell in Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore or Indonesia.

What changed in 2026: Shopee pushes 3:4 portrait
The clearest change from last year is that Shopee now accepts a 3:4 portrait cover image, not just square. The size in common use is 900 × 1200 px. A taller image occupies more of a phone screen as shoppers scroll search results, so the product reads larger and tends to earn more taps. Square still works everywhere and remains the safest choice if you upload the same file to several marketplaces.
If you go portrait, do not stretch a square file to fit. Compose with headroom above and below when you shoot, then crop 3:4 from the master — otherwise the product floats in the middle of an empty frame.
Marketplaces and social are different problems
Marketplaces — Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop, and the Facebook/Instagram catalogue — want square images, clean backgrounds and a product that fills the frame, because listings sit in a uniform search grid. Anything off-ratio gets auto-cropped.
Social — the Instagram feed, Reels, Stories, the Facebook feed and LINE OA — wants vertical, because the image is competing for screen height against everything else in the scroll. Square still posts fine; it just occupies less space and gets passed more quickly.
So you do not need eleven versions of a photo. You need one master and two or three crops.
The one master file to crop from
Export a 1:1 square at 1200 × 1200 px on a white or clean background, leaving a little margin around the product. That single file clears every marketplace minimum at once and leaves enough pixels to crop 3:4 (900 × 1200) or 4:5 (1080 × 1350) while staying sharp. The 9:16 crop for Reels and Stories is better recomposed than cropped — the shapes are too far apart.
If you have a lot of images to resize, the free Kulshot resizer crops to the specs on this page. It runs in your browser, needs no account, and never uploads your files to a server.
What breaks images or gets them cropped
- Uploading below the minimum. The platform upscales and the image goes soft. Start at 1000 px per side or more.
- Shooting landscape. A square auto-crop cuts both sides off the product. Frame square in-camera.
- Exceeding the file limit. They differ: roughly 2MB on Shopee, 3MB on Lazada, 5MB on TikTok Shop, 8MB for the Facebook/Instagram catalogue.
- Text or logos on the first image. Against Lazada and TikTok Shop rules. Keep graphics for image two onward.
- Black-and-white photos on TikTok Shop. Product images must be in colour.

Can I use one image size for every platform?
For marketplaces, almost. A 1:1 square at 1200 × 1200 px clears the minimums for Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop and the Facebook/Instagram catalogue at the same time. Social placements need separate crops, because the Instagram feed uses 4:5 and Reels and Stories use 9:16, which are far from square.
Should Shopee covers be square or 3:4 portrait?
Both are accepted. Square at 1024 × 1024 px is the safer choice and lets you reuse the same file across other marketplaces. Portrait at 900 × 1200 px fills more of a phone screen and helps visibility. If you choose portrait, compose for it when shooting rather than stretching a square file.
Why do my uploaded product images look blurry?
Usually because the file was smaller than the platform minimum, or it was compressed until quality dropped. Export at 1000 px per side or more and keep the file under each platform limit before uploading — roughly 2MB for Shopee, 3MB for Lazada, 5MB for TikTok Shop and 8MB for the Facebook and Instagram catalogue.
